Rocketry Team
The Rocketry Team, established in 2022, designs, builds, and launches rockets throughout the academic year, progressing through NAR high power rocketry certification levels L1 to L3. The team is preparing to compete in the 2027 International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC). Additionally, members are developing a regeneratively cooled (regen) liquid rocket engine as part of an advanced propulsion initiative: Forward Unto Dawn.
Other Projects
RocketLink: RocketLink is a LoRa-based wireless telemetry system that transmits live GPS position, altitude, and IMU orientation data from the rocket to a ground station laptop in real time. It was flight tested on micro-G’s LOX-ethanol K-103 vehicle. Mojave Sphinx: Half-Cat Rocketry’s Mojave Sphinx is an open-source liquid bi-propellant rocket that our team machined and assembled fully in-house, and the next static fire will be in Fall of 2027 (date pending).
